Counseling

Counseling sessions are provided for individuals, couples, and families. Counseling is provided by a licensed clinician to help with mental health issues including emotional and behavioral dysregulation. The goals of counseling are to help improve your overall sense of well-being, enjoyment in life, alleviate emotional distress, improve behavioral regulation and improve communication in your relationships.

Counseling appointments are 50 minutes in length. The frequency of appointments and length of treatment varies depending on the severity of symptoms. The office offers several evidence-based treatment modalities that can be used together or separately. Counseling services are offered at all three locations for in-person or virtual appointments.

Counseling can help a variety of mental health concerns, but the most common concerns I treat in the office are:

  • Anxiety – obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety
  • Attention deficit disorder – ADD/ADHD
  • Depression
  • Mood disorders – Major depression, Bipolar disorder, Dysregulated mood disorder
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder
  • Other Trauma-related symptoms
  • Peak Performance
  • Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
  • Relational conflict/ Marital conflict

Counseling provides you an opportunity to speak with a licensed professional to develop a plan to achieve your goals healthily. This is different than talking with family or friends that may become invested in what choices you make as the choices impact your relationships. The counseling office is a safe space for you to explore what you want and how to achieve it with your unique strengths and personality. This process helps you gain valuable skills to improve your ability to regulate your emotions and manage your internal dialogue.

Counseling appointments are $180 each.
